Any idea where to find these specific screws online? Have been searching EVERYWHERE 😬

The screws are surprisingly tight and you don't have much space to work with. Use the correct driver head and work very patiently or you risk stripping the screws and making everything harder for yourself.

Hello. Any idea where can i buy the folding hinge from? thx!

Liviu -

Hi, Like the explanation but can you tell me where to buy tge folding hinge?

Menno de Gier -

I'm 3D printing these here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364153346438

Stronger than original.

This is my alternative solution, albeit a temporary one. Sharing for people that end up here through search engines.

----

I figured out a temporary fix. I am posting this for others arriving here from search engines and the like. I assume OP's problem has long been solved. My fix is based on somebody else's fix.

I have 3D printed parts on the way, but my 'design' may actually press down on my ears better than the original. 🤔

What you'll need:

-Tie rip 2 mm
-Tie rip 4 mm
-Drill + 1,5 mm drillbit for metal
-Strong thin elastic.

-Pliers (for making sure the tierips are real tight.)

Thanks for this guide! It would help to have another step or two… I can replace the hinge now, but how do I get the old hinge off? The half surrounding the wire, I mean? The last photo shows it tucked away but still attached. Any suggestions?

DrP -

Never mind. Answered my own question. The Etsy seller who provided a 3D printed hinge also included instructions that specified to break the old hinge. I wasn’t strong enough but my husband did it for me.

DrP -

This guide doesn't include a way to take off the hinge half that hangs off the cable, but we figured out a way. You just use pliers to bend it. This will obviously break that half so you can't reuse it but you should have replacement parts already.
