The station opened in 1846 and is located on the Łódź-Forst railway, Miłkowice–Jasień railway, Żary–Zielona Góra railway and Żary–Legnica railway. The train services are operated by Koleje Dolnośląskie, PKP Intercity and Przewozy Regionalne.
