1998 Kids' Choice Awards

The 11th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was held on April 4, 1998, at Pauley Pavilion at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. Pop band Hanson won the most awards of the night, with wins for Favorite Group & Favorite Song. The ceremony is also notable for leading into "Dog Gone", the first episode of Nickelodeon's then newest Nicktoon, CatDog. This is the first show to take place at the Pauley Pavilion in California.

The theme was "Kid Power" as several kids (who were also the winners of the Kids' Choice Sweepstakes) presented the awards with the celebrities and the winners were announced in strange Rube Goldberg machines)

Summer Sanders also presented some awards with Kevin Kopelow, Erin Dean, Jeffrey "J" Dumas and Lori Beth Denberg on the set of Figure it Out

It's also worth noting that Titanic was the only film to win the Oscar for Best Picture and the Kids Choice Award for Favorite Movie.
