2023–24 UMBC Retrievers women's basketball team

The 2023–24 UMBC Retrievers women's basketball team represents the University of Maryland, Baltimore County during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Retrievers, was led by fourth-year head coach Johnetta Hayes, play their home games at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Catonsville, Maryland, as members of the America East Conference.

Previous season

The Retrievers finished the 2022–23 season 14–15, 10–6 in America East play to finish in fourth place.[1] They defeated NJIT in the quarterfinals,[2] before falling to top-seeded and eventual tournament champions Vermont in the semifinals of the America East tournament.[3]
