Alexei Pavlov (swimmer)

Alexei Pavlov (Russian: Алексей Павлов; born November 4, 1974) is a Russian former competitive swimmer. He is a participant of the Summer Olympic Games and current national record holder.[1]

Alexei Pavlov competed in the Swimming at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Men's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay. He finished the relay in the fourth stage with a result of 52.73.[2][3][4]

Alexei Pavlov is a 7-time champion of the Russian National Swimming Championships, as well as a participant of the FISU World University Games and FINA World Masters Championships.

Alexei Pavlov won the 1998 Russian National Swimming Championships in the 50 metre freestyle with a result of 23.39. A year later, at the same distance, he lost first place to Sergey Ashihmin, becoming second with a result of 23.17.

Now Alexei Pavlov trains his athletes as the head coach of the Tauras SC in Russia. Among his students one can note 3-time champion of the FISU World University Games and 6-time champion of the Russian National Swimming Championships Alexei Pavlov Jr. and finalist of the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships and current national record holder Mikhail Povaliaev.
