Anton Silayev

Anton Silayev (Russian: Антон Силаев; born 11 April 2006) is a Russian professional ice hockey player for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).[1] He was drafted tenth overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.[2][3]

Playing career

Silayev is signed with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) until the 2025–26 season.[4]

Referred to as a “unicorn” by Bob McKenzie, due to his size and skating ability, scouts projected Silayev to be an elite shutdown NHL defenseman.[5]
