Early life

Baljit Singh Deo was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. At a young age, he moved with his family to England, where he pursued a degree in microelectronic engineering.[1]

Career

Following his engineering studies, Baljit Singh Deo initially worked in engineering roles at companies such as Motorola and as a Development Director at EA Sports. However, his passion for storytelling led him to transition into film direction. He quickly gained acclaim for his work in music videos and feature films, earning multiple awards for his cinematography and directorial skills.

Deo has directed several notable Punjabi films, including Jag Jeondeyan De Mele starring Harbhajan Maan and Tulip Joshi, and Mirza The Untold Story featuring Gippy Grewal, Mandy Takhar, and Rahul Dev. He is currently working on upcoming projects set to release in 2024, including ARDAAS Sarbat De Bhala Di and RAJNI, where he serves in various capacities such as Director of Photography (DOP) and Creative Adviser. Additionally, he is slated to direct, shoot, and edit Manje Bistre 3.
