Biplab Mitra
Biplab Mitra is an Indian politician and the present Minister of Consumer Affairs [2] in the Government of West Bengal. He is also an MLA, elected from the Harirampur constituency in the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election.[3][4]

Political Career
In June 2019, Mitra left All India Trinamool Congress and joined BJP after the Lok Sabha polls.[5] Later in July 2020, he left BJP and returned back to TMC Party and won the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Election and elected as an MLA.[6]
In 10 March 2024, TMC announced his name as a candidate the 2024 Lok Sabha Election in India from Balurghat Lok Sabha constrituency.[7]
