Edgardo Rebagliati

Edgardo Rebagliati Martins (Huánuco; 1895 — Lima; February 18, 1958) was a Peruvian lawyer and journalist. He is considered the inspirer and achiever of social security in his country. He was Minister of Public Health and Social Assistance during the government of Manuel A. Odría (1950–1952).[1] In his memory, an important public hospital in Lima (the former Employee Hospital) is named after him.
