Karoline Levitt

Karoline Leavitt is an American political aide who previously served as an assistant press secretary during the Donald Trump administration.[3] In 2022, she ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in New Hampshire's 1st district, where she advocated for conservative values, economic growth and support for law enforcement. She now serves as the national press secretary for Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.[4]

Early life and education

Karoline Leavitt was born and raised in Atkinson, New Hampshire. She attended Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts and then pursued higher education at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire,[2] where she earned degrees in communications and political science, and she also played NCAA Division II College softball. [1][5]

Leavitt started in media and politics during college,[6] interning in 2016 at Fox News and then working as a producer for Fox & Friends after graduation.[3]

Political career

Karoline Leavitt worked as the communications director for United States Representative Elise Stefanik from New York.[7] She then joined the Trump administration as an assistant press secretary in the White House under President Donald Trump.

Congressional campaign

In 2022, Leavitt announced her candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives, running as a Republican in New Hampshire's 1st congressional district.[8] Her campaign focused on conservative values, economic growth, and support for law enforcement.[9] She emphasized her commitment to protecting Second Amendment rights, reducing taxes, and opposing government overreach.[10][11]
