History
During the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainian authorities claimed that two siblings were fatally shot by a Russian sabotage group that had infiltrated the village.[3]
Until 26 January 2024, Khotin was designated urban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Khotin became a rural settlement.[4]
