History
The station was built in August 20, 1965 as Kawatetsu-mae Station by the Kurashiki City Transportation Bureau.[1] The name came from the Kawasaki Steel Corporation which was located at the west of the station.[1] It was transferred to Mizushima Rinkai Railway at 1970. Kawatetsu-mae station was abolished upon the opening of Kurashiki-Kamotsu Terminal Station, abolishing passenger service.[1]
