Plot

Primarily set in Barcelona, the plot follows the life of CNT secretary general and imposter Enric Marco, who built himself a fake past as a Nazi concentration camp survivor, gaining public recognition and sympathy.[2][3]

The screenplay was penned by Aitor Arregi, Jon Garaño, Jorge Gil, and Jose Mari Goenaga.[4] The film is an Irusoin, Moriarti, La verdad inventada AIE, Atresmedia Cine and Bteam Prods production, with participation and backing from ICAA, the Basque Government, Atresmedia, Movistar Plus+, and EiTB.[5] It was lensed by Javier Agirre.[6] Shooting locations included the Basque Country (Zarautz), Catalonia, Madrid, and Germany.[7][5]

Release

The film will be distributed in Spain by BTeam Pictures.[6] Its release is expected for 25 October 2024.[3][8] Film Factory acquired international sales rights.[3]
