Kononova has a career-high singles ranking by the WTA of 635, reached on 4 March 2024. She also has a career-high WTA doubles ranking of 232, achieved on 15 April 2024.[1]
Kononova has won four doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. She won her first $60k tournament in July 2023, at the Evansville Women's Classic in the United States, alongside fellow Russian player Veronika Miroshnichenko.[2] She plays college tennis at the University of North Texas.[3]
