Matsumoto Dam
Matsumoto Dam (Japanese: 松元ダム) is a gravity dam located in Kagoshima, Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for irrigation. The catchment area of the dam is 2.9 km2. When full, the dam's surface area stretches to about 6 ha, storing 640 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started in 1986 and completed in 2002.[1]
