History
Paris had a coconut plantation in the 1920s, which is now abandoned.[2][3] French priest Emmanuel Rougier lived in a clapboard house in Paris, which has since been destroyed.[4] Paris was mostly abandoned due to poor anchorage.[5]
Name
Paris was named by French priest Emmanuel Rougier who lived there while running a coconut plantation.[3][4] He named it Paris because he was homesick.[5][6]
