Park Jin-seop (footballer, born 1995)

Park Jin-seop (Korean: 박진섭; born 23 October 1995) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as defensive midfielder or a centre-back for K League 1 club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and the South Korea national team.[1]

Club career

Daejeon Korail

Park started his football career at third tier side Daejeon Korail which play in the 2017 Korea National League

Ansan Greeners

In January 2018, Park joined K League 2 side Ansan Greeners before the start of the 2018 K League 2 season.[2]

Daejeon Hana Citizen

On 4 January 2020, Park joined K League 2 side, Daejeon Hana Citizen. In the 2021 campaign, he was named in the K League 2 Best XI of the season.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors

After a fruitful season at Daejeon Hana Citizen, Park joined K League 1 giants, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on 12 January 2022. In his first season at the club, he won the 2022 Korean FA Cup.

International career

Park played as an overage player for the South Korea U23 in the 2022 Asian Games, winning a gold medal.

Senior

Park played as a substitute for the South Korea national team in four matches of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.[3]

On 26 March 2024, Park scored his first international goal during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Thailand.
