Potu (film)

Potu is a 2024 Bengali language Bangladeshi crime thriller film. It was directed by Ahmed Humayun and is the first film directed by the director.[1] Produced and distributed by Jaaz Multimedia. Evan Sair, Afra Shaiara and Shoaib Monir are playing the lead roles.[2] Evan Sair and Afra Shaiara made their film debut through this film.[3][4]

Music

The song was sung by Kolkata's Lagnajita Chakraborty, Bangladesh's Islam Palakar along with the film's director and music director Ahmed Humayun himself.[7][8]

Production

The music director Ahmed Humayun made his debut as a director by directing this film. The story of the film, the shooting is all around Rajshahi, the northern city of Bangladesh.[9] Uncut got clearance from Censor Board on 3rd April of the same year 2024.[10][11]

Release

The first look of the film was released on 9 February 2024.[12] The film was scheduled to release on 11 April 2024 on the occasion of Eid, but it was delayed and released in 6 theaters on 10 May 2024.[13][14]
