Preity Mukhundhan is an Indian actress, model and dancer who primarily works in Tamil and Telugu language films.

Early life

Preity Mukhundhan was born on July 30, 2001 in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. Both her parents are doctors and hail from Trichy as well. She holds a BTech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. She is also a versatile dancer in folk, western, hip-hop, fusion, and is trained in the classical dance form of Bharatanatyam since her childhood.[1]

Career

In 2018, during her freshman year in college, Preity began her modelling career. She acted in over a 100 TV commercials and print ads for regional and national brands. Her work catapulted her to prominence in the South Indian modelling industry. Preity also holds an active presence in her social media handles.

She had her film debut in a Telugu-language horror comedy film Om Bheem Bush.[2] Preity also played as one of the lead in the 2024 Tamil-language coming-of-age romantic drama film Star opposite Kavin and directed by Elan, for which she received widespread attention.[3]

Apart from her modelling and film careers, Preity had also appeared in the music videos of TeeJay Arunasalam's song "Muttu Mu2" in 2022 featuring Yogi B & Sivaangi Krishnakumar [4] as well as Sai Abhyankkar's song "Aasa Kooda" in 2024.[5]
