Priya Saroj

Priya Saroj (born 23 November 1998)[1] is an Indian politician and lawyer. She is a member of Samajwadi Party. She is the second youngest candidates to be elected to the Lok Sabha, 2024.[2] She is the daughter of Tufani Saroj, a three-time MP and current MLA of Uttar Pradesh.[3]

Early life and education

Priya Saroj was born on November 23, 1998 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.[4]

Priya completed her schooling at the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi. She then pursued higher education by earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Delhi University. Her academic journey continued with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Amity University in Noida.[5]

Political career

Saroj has been elected as a Member of Parliament from Machhlishahr Lok Sabha constituency in 2024 Indian General elections.[6] She defeated B.P. Saroj by a margin of 35850 votes.[7][8]
