Ranchero
Ranchero, also known as Charro, is the Mexican Spanish term for the inhabitant of the countryside, a countryman. Historically, it also refer to the inhabitants and workers of a hacienda, who performed all their duties on horseback.[1][2][3] Synonymous with vaquero, cowboy or herdsman.[4]
- In American English, it also refers to the owner of a ranch, a rancher or ranchman.[5]
