Schmigadoon! (musical)

Schmigadoon! is a stage musical adaptation of the musical television series of the same name, with a book, music and lyrics by Cinco Paul, who created the TV series with Ken Daurio.[1] The story follows two New York City doctors, Melissa Gimble and Josh Skinner, who are struggling with their romantic relationship, as they find themselves trapped in a magical town populated by colorful people who frequently break out into song.

Production

Washington D.C. (upcoming)

The musical is scheduled to premiere at the Eisenhower Theater at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. as part of the Broadway Center Stage series from January 31 until February 9, 2025. The production is set to be directed and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.[2][3]

A workshop presentation of the show was held in June 2024, with a cast that included Sara Chase as Melissa Gimble, Adam Pally as Josh Skinner, Joy Woods as Emma Tate, Kevin Del Aguila as Reverend Layton and the Leprechaun, Claybourne Elder as Danny Bailey, Beth Leavel as Mildred Layton, Mauricio Martinez as Doc Lopez, Ruthie Ann Miles as Florence Menlove and Countess von Blerkom, Brad Oscar as Mayor Menlove, Stephanie Styles as Betsy McDonough and Jeffrey Cornelius as Carson Tate.[4]
