Strone (Inverness)
Strone (Scottish Gaelic: An t-Sròn, "The Nose") is a small hamlet in the administrative county of the Scottish Highlands and in the historic county of Inverness-shire.[1] It lies on the foot of the hill, Creag na h-Iolaire (Scottish Gaelic: "Eagle Rock") in Glen Urquhart within the Great Glen. The nearest town is Drumnadrochit, and Urquhart Castle lies down the hill to the East.[2]
