Taisiia Onofriichuk

Taisiia Onofriichuk (Ukrainian: Таї́сія Андріївна Онофрійчу́к; born 26 May 2008) is a Ukrainian rhythmic gymnast.[1] She is the 2023 junior World clubs silver medalist and the 2024 Ukrainian all-around champion.

Career

Junior

In 2022 Onofriichuk was selected for her first European Championships in Tel Aviv, Israel. She ended 4th in the team competition, 7th with hoop and 8th with ribbon.[2]

In July 2023, she competed at the Junior World Championships in Cluj-Napoca, where she won a silver medals with clubs. She was also 4th in the team competition, 6th with hoop, 8th with ribbon.[3] She also competed at the Aeon Cup in Japan along with her teammates Viktoriia Onopriienko and Polina Karika.[4]

Senior

In 2024 she made her senior debut. In April, she won her first ever World Cup medal at her first World Cup competition when, at World Cup Sofia, she won bronze in the ribbon final behind Stiliana Nikolova and Daria Atamanov.[5] The next week, at the World Cup in Baku, she won three additional medals - silver with clubs and bronze with ball and ribbon.[6][7] She won the gold medal in the all-around at the 2024 Ukrainian Championships.

In June she competed at the 2024 European Championships in Budapest, Hungary and took 8th place in the team competition together with Viktoriia Onopriienko and senior group. She successfully qualified to the all-around final, where she finished in 9th place. Onofriichuk also qualified to three apparatus finals, winning a bronze medal in the hoop final and placing 6th in ribbon and 8th in ball. She was 28th in the clubs qualifications.[8]

She took the silver medal in the all-around at the Brno Grand Prix in June and three more silver medals in the hoop, ball and ribbon finals.[9]
