The show stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Venu Arvind, Harshini and Mahalakshmi in lead roles. It premiered on DD Tamizh TV on 19 January 2024, along with two other serials Budget Kudumbam and Shakthi IPS. [1]

Development

After Kizhakku Vaasal, Radaan Mediaworks decide to produce another show. Initially, the title of the serial was named 'Thayamma'.[2] The first promo was released on 16 January 2024, showing the immediate release date on 19 January 2024. [3] [4] [5]

The production team and the channel put an end to the rumors by releasing the first promo on 16 January 2024 on DD Podhigai with revealing the full title name 'Thayamma Kudumbathaar'.[6][7]

Casting

The production began with Radhika Sarathkumar and Venu Arvind being cast in lead roles.[8] Venu Arvind made his comeback after Chandrakumari. Harshini and Mahalakshmi were selected to portray the supporting lead roles. Harshini made her comeback after eighteen years.[9] Raadhika was shown off-screen for 2.5 months (March end to June beginning) due to the election fever.
