Third federal electoral district of Chihuahua

The third federal electoral district of Chihuahua (Distrito electoral federal 03 de Chihuahua) is one of the 300 electoral districts into which Mexico is divided for the purpose of elections to the federal Chamber of Deputies and one of nine such districts currently operating in the state of Chihuahua.

It elects one deputy to the lower house of Congress for each three-year legislative period, by means of the first-past-the-post system.

District territory

Under the 2022 districting plan, which will be used for the 2024, 2027 and 2030 federal elections,[1] the third district covers the western portion of Ciudad Juárez and the adjacent municipalities of Ascensión and Janos.[2]

Its head town (cabecera distrital), where results from individual polling stations are gathered together and collated, is the city of Ciudad Juárez.[3]
