Introduction
Automated Industrial Robotics (AIR), founded by Ares Management in January 2024, is a private industrial automation company. AIR operates by consolidating and scaling these operations. As of October 2025, AIR has acquired five companies from Ireland, UK, and USA, with distinct automation specializations serving serving many different industries. The company currently has approximately 500 employees and is led by CEO Darragh de Stonndún and Executive Chairman Brian Klos.[1]
History of AIR
Automated Industrial Robotics Inc. was launched in January 2024 by Ares Management Corporation. The company was cofounded by Executive Chairman Brian Klos and Chief Executive Officer Darragh de Stonndún, both offering extensive experience in both automation and Mergers/Acquisitions. At its launch, AIR acquired two long-running automation firms to serve as its foundation: Totally Automated Systems (TA Systems) and Modular Automation.
