Our english speaking teacher told us there were two pronunciations of the word 'neither': [nˈiːð.ə(ɹ)] and [nˈaɪð.ə(ɹ)]. Which one you use is supposed to be determined from the sound of the sentence somehow.
Can anybody clarify this?
