I'm preparing to open up a start-up. Because of some personal reasons, I'd like to name it after the small town in China I was born in. It's named 下关 (dry translate to down-gate or down-fort).
That name came after its geography situation. 大理 (Dali) is an old city located in a valley and it has 2 major entrances/exits. People in old Dali built a fort on each of the entrances. The north one called 上关 (up-gate) and the south one called 下关 (down-gate).
I believe this kind of geography is common around the world, I'm hoping there are authentic English words that can describe it beautifully. Please share your knowledge.
