I'm a self-employed minion of the banking industry specialising in database and data replication technology. Residing partly in Cambridge, UK, and partly in Szeged, Hungary. I'm known to some as being a stickler for grammar, constantly horrified by the standard of English around me in the workplace, yet find myself on the other end of the scale when delving into the abundance of Phonetics and Phonology-related pages and posts on english.stackexchange.com and other sites where I have discovered many new terms beyond my existing (time-degraded) knowledge and discovered gaps I had not realised. From a career break period in my life, I was sucked into the temptuous underworld of Phonetics and Phonology at the behest of a local University, a subject which I found intensely interesting. Now, several years on, my previous passion for the subject has resurfaced anew.
