Author, co-author, editor, or co-editor of eight non-fiction books since the turn of the millennium, two of which were NYT best sellers. One was a computer book; another was an audio book. All except the computer book were biographical and about people in 20th century politics—thus, really, current history.
Pre-millinnium I wrote articles about public policy issues or events or edited collections thereof and held a job in Washington rather than academia for a few years, but taught college and graduate students for six years.
I have lived in Chicago, Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco as well as Washington, D.C., so my accent has been modified from its Mid-West origin and perhaps just adapts.
