After many years of study and travel, I settled very close to my original home in Maryland, but it was much different from the home I knew. My parents were gone, my friends had moved away, and I was faced with a future that was simply a blank canvas. I had already written two books and numerous articles, and although I knew the Army very well, I wondered if I could make a future in a world that spoke only in acronyms and about weaponry? After much self-development and using connections that were thankfully in place, I began working with a team of writers and editors who developed proposals to win business with the U.S. Army.
