I am a volunteer translator living in Tokyo. I help providing English-language information to foreign residents who are new and don't speak Japanese. The information includes everything about living in Japan such as education, tax, pension, health, childrearing, disaster prevention and so on. Since I am not a native English speaker, I often get puzzled when I translate information into English.
