Elections
Elections will be held on November 4 of this year. The off-year election includes gubernatorial and state legislative elections in a few states, as well as numerous mayoral races, and a variety of other local offices on the ballot.
Scheduled events
- January 20 – The winner of the 2024 United States presidential election is scheduled to be inaugurated.
- October 14 – Microsoft has set the retirement (end-of-life) date for its Windows 10 operating system on this date.[1][2] Users will either have to install Windows 11 or use an alternative operating system to Microsoft to receive security updates.
- November 5 – The 2025 New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial election will take place.[3][4]
