42nd Mechanized Brigade (Ukraine)
The 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade (Ukrainian: 42 окрема механізована бригада) is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.[1]

History
The brigade was formed in April 2023 primarily from mobilized personnel from western Ukraine, with a cadre of officers and NCOs drawn from the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade. It was first deployed to Serebriansk forestry during the Luhansk Oblast campaign and later to the Andriivka area near Bakhmut.[1]
2024 Kharkiv offensive
The brigade is reportedly engaging Russian forces near the border of Kharkiv Oblast, with its Perun unit has been destroying or damaging Russian BMPs.[2]
