Features of political wing emblem
The emblem shows two crossed swords in front of the central building (Dome of the Rock) of the Al-Aqsa (Arabic: الأقصى) mosque complex, in Jerusalem (Arabic: الأقصى, romanized: Al-Quds). The mosque is framed by two Palestinian flags that feature the two statements that comprise the Shahada: "There is no god but God" (right flag) and "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah" (left flag).[1]
Above Al Aqsa is a map of Palestine, matching the borders of Mandatory Palestine. Immediately below the Dome it reads "Palestine" and below that in the green banner: "Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas".[2]
