Hullahalli

Hullahalli is a quaint village in the southern state of Karnataka, India.[1][2] It is located in the Nanjangud taluk of Mysore district in Karnataka. It is known for its picturesque landscapes and cultural heritage, Hullahalli offers a glimpse into the traditional rural life of Karnataka. The name Hullahalli is derived from Trurapuri.  In Sanskrit Truna means Grass(Hullu in Kannada) and Pura means the village, hence it is called Hullahalli.  It is believed that the saint Truna Maharshi lived in this place. The river Kapila river flows across the village. The village is known for an ancient Varadaraja Temple, Malleshwara Temple and Veerabhadreshwaraswamy temple located along south bank of Kapila River.

Malleshwara Temple(Shiva Temple) & Varadaraja Temple (Vishnu)were constructed during the Hoysala rule during Vishnuvadhana period[3]. The Government Higher Primary School Hullaalli was established in 1894.[4]
