The Oakura River, or Ōākuramatapū, is a river of the Taranaki Region of New Zealand's North Island. It flows north from the slopes of Taranaki/Mount Egmont, veering northwest before reaching the Tasman Sea at Oakura, southwest of New Plymouth.
