Under the Constitution of Yemen, the prime minister is appointed by the president, and must, like his cabinet, enjoy confidence from the House of Representatives.
Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council issued a decision on 5 February 2024 appointing its foreign minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak as the country's new prime minister.[2]
