Sarıkaya, Yozgat

Sarıkaya is a town in Yozgat Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. It is the seat of Sarıkaya District.[2] Its population is 18,457 (2022).[1] It is known for its hot springs and the associated bathhouses.

Sarıkaya's Ottoman-era name was Terzili and known locally as Terzilihamam due to its bathhouses (hamam).[3] The town is currently known for its UNESCO submitted Roman-era bath named Basilica Therma that is preserved and easily visible in the town center.[4]
