Surafel Dagnachew

Surafel Dagnachew Mengistu (Amharic: ሱራፌል ዳኛቸው; born 11 September 1997) is an Ethiopian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for USL Championship club Loudoun United and the Ethiopia national team. [1][2]

Club career

Adama City

Surafel began his professional career with Adama City and made his debut in the 2016–17 Ethiopian Premier League season.

Fasil Kenema

On 5 August 2018, Surafel joined Fasil Kenema from Adama City.[3] Surafel was awarded the Ethiopian Football Federation Player of the Year award for the 201819 season.[1] Surafel then won the 2020–21 Ethiopian Premier League with the club.

Loudoun United

On 5 June 2024, Surafel joined Loudoun United from Fasil Kenema with a three year contract.

International career

Surafel made his international debut with the Ethiopia national team in a 43 2020 African Nations Championship qualification win against Djibouti on 4 August 2019.

On 25 December 2021, he was named to Ethiopia's 25 man squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
