The Road (Anand novel)
The Road is a 1961 English-language novel by Mulk Raj Anand.[1] The main character Bhikhu bears many similarities to the character Bakha in Anand's earlier novel Untouchable.[2]

His novel, The Road (1961) also deals with the theme of untouchability. Bhikhu is known as Bakha of Untouchable. He is a poor road worker and with his people works to build a road to solve the problems of transportation.
