Tymoteusz Puchacz

Tymoteusz Puchacz (born 23 January 1999) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a left-back for 2. Bundesliga club 1. FC Kaiserslautern, on loan from Bundesliga side Union Berlin, and the Poland national team.[3]

Club career

Puchacz started his career with Lech Poznań.[4]

On 15 December 2017, he was loaned to I liga side Zagłębie Sosnowiec.[5]

On 31 August 2018, he was loaned to I liga side GKS Katowice.[6]

On 18 May 2021, Union Berlin signed Puchacz with a transfer fee of €3.5 million. He joined the club for the 2021–22 season.[7]

On 10 January 2022, he was loaned to Süper Lig side Trabzonspor[8] and won the league title months later.[9] The same year on 29 December, his loan to Super League Greece side Panathinaikos was confirmed.[10]

On 19 June 2023, Puchacz was sent to 1. FC Kaiserslautern on another loan.[11] He recorded one goal and thirteen assists in all competitions across the 2023–24 season, as FCK finished the league season in 13th and reached the 2023–24 DFB-Pokal final.[12]

International career

Puchacz made his debut for the Poland national team on 1 June 2021, in their 1–1 friendly draw with Russia.[13]

In June 2021, Puchacz made appearances in all of Poland's fixtures at UEFA Euro 2020, as they finished last in their group and were knocked out from the group stages.[14]

On 7 June 2024, he was selected for his second international tournament after being named in the final squad for UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany.[15]
