By day, WMLP is powered at 1,000 watts non-directional. But at night, to protect other stations on 1380 AM from interference, WMLP greatly reduces power to 18 watts. Programming is also heard on 99-watt FM translator W233CP at 94.5 MHz.

History

The station signed on the air on October 22, 1955 (1955-10-22). It originally was a daytimer, required to go off the air at sunset. In 1967, it added an FM station, 100.9 WMLP-FM.[3] Today that station is WVLY-FM.

Vic Michael acquired 1380 WMLP from Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation on February 21, 2020.
