Central District (Aqqala County)

The Central District of Aqqala County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان آق‌قلا) is in Golestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Aqqala.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 84,291 in 17,538 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 94,944 people in 24,389 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 101,988 inhabitants in 27,601 households.[2]
