Dezful County
Dezful County (Persian: شهرستان دزفول) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Dezful.[3]

History
After the 2006 National Census, the villages of Choghamish and Hamzeh (Shahrak-e Hamzeh)[4] were elevated to city status. Additionally, five rural districts were separated from Sardasht District in the establishment of Shahiyun District.
After the 2011 census, the villages of Shamsabad[5] and Siah Mansur[6] became cities.
After the 2016 census, the village of Shahiyun rose to the status of a city.[7] The village of Eslamabad was elevated to the status of a city and renamed Jandi Shapur.[8]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 384,851 in 31,291 households.[9] The following census in 2011 counted 423,552 people in 107,746 households.[10] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 443,971, in 125,351 households.[2]
