Pre-season and friendlies

On 8 June Tranmere Rovers announced their pre-season schedule, with friendlies against Vauxhall Motors, Southport, Fleetwood Town, Rochdale and Everton XI.[40] A sixth pre-season fixture was later added, against Wigan Athletic.[41]
