Joghatai County

Joghatai County (Persian: شهرستان جغتای) is in Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Joghatai.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, Joghatai District was separated from Sabzevar County in the establishment of Joghatai County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Joghatai as its capital and only city.[3]

Demographics

Population

The census in 2011 counted 47,920 people in 13,181 households.[4] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 49,175 in 14,923 households.[2]

After the census, the village of Rivadeh was elevated to the status of a city.[5]
